Thanks, Mladen (MAP Master). It's good to know that. Ya I am planning on completeing the Robot. It's gonna look like this one sort of: (URL) had to take a break for awhile, ie; RG Mech. I think the best thing we had was Water Rockets in the ball field fo Phyical Science class. Also it's kinda funny, the guy who invited me, his nic-name is "Legoman" He made a point of calling me the "Legomaster" ; my nic-name :) Thanks.... Eric (...)   Re: Another good day for Mecha

Indeed, most of the students in the class slapped a pair of wheels onto a RCX and that was that. Part of what I tried to enstill in them was: This is what's possible, so why not make it a reality, Same goes for other aspects of their own lives, Make (...)   Re: Another good day for Mecha

Thank you, most of the students could'nt belive that the Robot used no glue, they had a hard time understanding that the whole structure stayed together under it's own construction. Cross bracing beams is the key. Also they were'nt familair with the (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Another good day for Mecha

I think I speak for everybody here on LUGNET when I say you make us (LEGO-maniacs) proud! Way to go Prof. Sophie! ;-) BTW Are you going to actually build the rest of that mecha? Seems huge! Give Honda's ASIMO a run for its money... hehe... (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Space Transport

(...) My only complaint is that it looks about one brick to high, but other than that, it has a really cool design and excellent innovation. Keep it up! ZaC Soden www.ozbricks.com/battlespace (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New Six legged mecha!!!!! MAP!! Mladen style

(...) Sorry. : P (...) Well, I have a soft spot in my heart for them. For some reason I've like the War Planets/Shadow Raiders concept when Trendmasters first made the toys. I'm just sad it didn't go very far. Nobody else liked it I guess. : ( (...) (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Space Transport

(...) Very nicely done. I can imagine that being used as a short-hop courier between planets. I like the use of the sticker at the rear. It seems to fit pretty well. :^) ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

(...) Thanks, I'm glad you like it. The camera I use is a Nikon Coolpix 880. It's very nice and easy to use. It has a nice close up feature that turns out amazing when you use the macro mode. Great for lego photography! ~Nick (URL) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New Six legged mecha!!!!! MAP!! Mladen style

You got it all wrong. An MAP is only one specific mecha, it is not a class. In the anime movie _Appleseed_ Shirow Masumane made a whole new class of mecha called mobile platforms. One MP can be seen near the end. My MAP and MSP are mobile platforms, (...) (23 years ago, 31-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
