(...) But where are the grey peak pieces? I have enough grey medium slope pieces now - including 16 corners (courtesy of 4 River Expeditions and 4 Snowspeeders) - to make a small roof, and I have a few half-pyramid pieces... but no normal pointed (...) (25 years ago, 1-May-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Pnuematic missles or other sources of missle propulsion

Thanks Jacob for the idea. I now have a new working prototype. It uses a Lego bungee cord instead of a rubber band. It also holds five missles stacked in an angled from the firing chamber. It work something like this: 1) Pull the firing pin back 2) (...) (25 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: And now a lovely beverage (was Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables)

(...) The Fright Knights Minifig pack had one, that is probably the cheapest set in recent times. Have you checked out the Star Wars sets yet? They are an excellent source of pieces. Also check out the soon-to-be released Sith Infiltrator. It has (...) (25 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) They are fairly rare--I don't know of any set with more than one of them. They've appeared in Belville sets, and some other sets (can't remember which ones right now) in the past few years. What's more rare are the plain minifig heads in (...) (25 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Gary, Check out the star wars line. The x-wing has 2 and the snowspeeder has 2. One has the convex, one has the concave. They are in gray. It should be REAL easy to pick up a lot of these sets. :-) Mike (...) in (...) (convex) (...) (1/2 (...) of (...) (25 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: And now a lovely beverage (was Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables)

(...) Thanks for the info Jeff. It looks like some of my Lampposts have part of a Homemaker Coffee Pot as the lamp. I wonder if these 1x1 (fat) minifig rounds in regular clear are rare? Were there any recent sets that had these? As for the gable (...) (25 years ago, 30-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Mark: Pitsco has them. I can't find my catalog, but if you need the part number, I am sure I can get it for you. If memory serves, it was two for $10. Eric (25 years ago, 29-Apr-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.db.inv)

  gear turntable for 8460

I've been looking at the instruction scans for the 8460 pneumatic crane truck and for the most part it looks as though it's made up of pieces I already have. The one big exception being the gear turntable on page 19 of the instructions (step #23). (...) (25 years ago, 29-Apr-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.db.inv)

Alright, I'll put in my 2 cents worth (incessant ramblings...) about minifig accessories (since I do loathe minifigs so - no wait, their heads do make such great gothic pinnacles for cathdral towers....). Anyway, those really old 1x1 round bricks (...) (25 years ago, 29-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: And now a lovely beverage (was Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables)

(...) Hmm. I don't know. In my head, I see just a 1x1 with a stem. For me, that wouldn't work as a glass bottle, but maybe it looks like something else, like a waterbottle with one of those really long straws. Actually, those "sportsbottles" would (...) (25 years ago, 29-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)
