Re: Building an 8880 without the kit

(...) Doesnt it also have unique steering spindles at the wheels? you can create a different style using other technic parts, say, from the future car. I guess it really depends if you wish to "duplicate" the model or create a "likeness". good luck! (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 6 wide vehicle

Paul- I think your engines are en fuego! I am a big fan of 6 stud wide stuff because it goes a long way IMO to create realism. I can hear the groans and the sound of pick-axes already as the GMLTC begins road construction to widen the lanes;-) I (...) (26 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Builder's Gallery

(...) Read the fine print very carefully before uploading any images! Quote: "The LEGO Group reserves the right to publish pictures on www.LEGO.com which were not selected as part of the eight gallery pictures." This is perfectly reasonable. (...) (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Builder's Gallery

I just used my votes for: -piano model (very clean design, elegant model) -train model (a train on wheels, great job, esp. for 12 yo) -bridge (some non-Lego string in there, I suppose - but it's neat that this kid obviously learned a lot about the (...) (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: S@H Stuff...

(...) ...Ahha! The key was the 4 studs wide comment... I had figgured they went together because of the similarity of design, but I couldnt make them work rite :-/ but now I got them together like scissors and its kinda keen :-) thanks (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) Thanks everyone for the kind words! :-, Lessee -- on a P2-400 with 196 Mb RAM, rendering at 320 x 200 (I'm too lazy to get real benchmarks right now, plus my boss is hovering around my office right now :-) with an AA of .3, the sky alone takes (...) (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: S@H Stuff...

(...) I think those 'L' shaped pieces are part of the crane that comes with one of the train sets. (I can't remember the number) You put those together with the little red wheels in some way and make the part of the crane that picks up stuff. They (...) (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: S@H Stuff...

(...) They are a grabber for a cargo crane. The two pieces go together, and a little red pulleys click onto each piece. String goes through the pulleys, and up to the overhead winch. Then you're ready to lift any box which is 4 studs wide. Look at (...) (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Building an 8880 without the kit

you would have a hard time of it... it uses white suspention arms that are only found in 8880 and no where else. the drive train is mostly generic except for the gear shift which is also unique to 8880. (26 years ago, 9-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

update to my Microfigure Starwars Model page

I just posted a small update to my starwars microfigure model page (128.109.194.35/kn/lego.html). It consists of the new design for the Millenium Falcon, repaired after some research to more accurately match the real thing. Also, there is a (...)
