  Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) Sorry, "Shaun's". Anyway, why am I helping this guy? I almost went mad trying to do a decent AT-AT thanks to Mr. Sullivan's models, and now he's doing trains! Shaun, can't you get into Belville or something instead? :) Jason J Railton (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) I'm still building in minifig-stylee 6-wide, but it becomes obvious that these trains are smaller than a true minifig scale when you put someone in the cabin. But, 8-wide means that you have to do everything as a larger MOC, including any (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: Part 6214: how can I use this thing?

(...) You could also make it the head of a giant. It has the definite shape of a head with ears sticking out of the sides. It would be a pretty flat giant, but it could turn out cool with the right accessories..... (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) You take every opportunity to remind us all of how great 8 wide is. We get it. Move on. Some people like it, some don't. Different strokes for different folks but stop prosetylising so hard, even in fun, eh? You're starting to resemble a (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: Big scale model of AMC AMX '68

(...) Nice. The different colored pieces and the black hood give it that "project car in the process of being rebuilt" look. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

LOL Don't feel like you have to apologize;-) You have created an awesome MOC, Shaun, and you have realized (regardless of any blathering pro or con) for yourself the merits of building 8 wide (or wider;) Glad to (...) You have my vote. That is a 10. Very pleasing to the eye. The engine and drive line detail are just sensational. If this is your first, you will have a real challenge trying to better this project. Thanks for sharing the pictures. -- Bob Fay (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) Thanks, Jason. I picked the German steam train to fit in with the motif of my other models, primarily, as I tend to lean towards utilitarian workhorse designs. Political ramifications aside, the German industrial boom of the 1930s produced (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Big scale model of AMC AMX '68

check out my first big scale model what i have ever done: (URL) turned out pretty good, but the front suspension is not that good. i first thought i will make it full technic model, but then i decided to just make real looking but not working model. Like the red bot, more like a 70's sci-fi artist's interpretation of a robot or a techno nightmare than an industrial grade mech off (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
