Sorry Eric, but this pic is just wrong. ;-P

ROTFL!!! ah man, you know! and come on, who hasn’t want to use that part like forever and just has it laying around! Sorry, but for anyone with a let’s say engendered collection. btw, did I mention that the keel serves as a weight balance and actually has some function. ;P

A funny story I’d like to share while remembering this post;

I have been teaching Lego Building Workshops in Hoboken. The students are mostly kids and you know how kids say the darndest things right?, well this was funny.

I sometimes bring a creation of mine to the Class for show and tell plus to show the kids examples of how to use the pieces and elements.

So one day I brought in Chili to show the class. Its a manageable small enough creation that I can carry easily.

As the students checked it out and got inspired to build, we took out our box of Lego and started building.

The students got all excited and began building all sorts of cool things. Some of the students started looking for similar parts that I used to build Chili, so they could build their own versions. (LOL)

Things like, “oh that’s a technic chair!, and those are Bionicle parts!” were exclaimed as they started to notice more and more parts and elements.

The that’s when the P-bomb was dropped.

One student, in all of his 7 years of grace, shouted, loudly, and pointed, AS he stood up on his chair....“LOOK AND HIS PENIS IS A LASER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Oh my lord~

Now all the students were building and looking for parts, so it went kind of unoticed. But I turned beet red and so did my Teaching assistant.

I quickly changed the subject.

“oh, if you connect this 2x2 with this 2x2....blah blah.....ixnae....”

Yep, kids say the darndest things.

e

P.S. Later I thought, “oh boy that, wasn’t a good Mech to bring!” NOTE TO SELF, anatomically correct Robots stay at HOME!!!” END NOTE TO SELF.

(...) Eric, Thanks for sharing a cute story. I would agree about leaving the anatomically correct fellas at home. But then again, if you had brought Mr. Krinkle a different P-word could have been exclaimed (although I'm not sure given the age (...) (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Or, you could just do a penectomy and then take it. ;-) Thanks for the story, Eric, I was reallly laughing! If you have any more gems like this one, I (and I'm pretty sure everyone else) would love to hear. Thanks again! Legoswami Samarth (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Thanks I enjoy nature as it inspires us to look closer. (...) Excellent, thank you. What's cool for me about making the Head and trying to get a nice angle with these new canopy eye peices, is they have a certain amount of angle already build (...)
