Hey Eric!

I love how you come out of the blue with these Sophie-ized animal inspired (rumble bunny for example) creations. :-)

Thanks I enjoy nature as it inspires us to look closer.

The clean lines and colour uniformity on this ‘bot are really great. I also like how you captured the stance of a dog. You always manage to impress me with the way you attain angles. The details are nice too, such as the teeth and the ears (made out of technic chairs to boot !!! ).

Overall, a very cool MOC.

Excellent, thank you. What’s cool for me about making the Head and trying to get a nice angle with these new canopy eye peices, is they have a certain amount of angle already build in since the part is essentially a big slope.

So as I began to hindge and connect the 3rd plane, I realized the shape of the eye peice itself gave the illusion of 3rd space. So I did not have to use a sort of trinary hindge arrangement like in models like RG and GG to get the demensions of the face and head. The slope itself gives a 3rd depth.

The front wedge plate in the nose is the exact shape of the plates that make the heads shape.

Ok, I’m confusing myself again.

   However...

Sorry Eric, but this pic is just wrong. ;-P

ROTFL!!! ah man, you know! and come on, who hasn’t want to use that part like forever and just has it laying around! Sorry, but for anyone with a let’s say engendered collection.

OMG, I just rememberer the bomb story!

Check this out, When I was a kid I played with Lego, duh, but I lived in San Francisco Caifornia. I would ride the bus to Golden Gate Park with my Lego Boat, the big red floaty kind with the red keel on it, and put my Lego Boat in the Lake and tugged it around with my friend who had the black police boat.

But one day, my line snapped and my cool Red Boat with the Classic Space Yellow Galaxy Explorer windows and everything went free out onto this HUGE POND!

I freaked, I hung around the lake with my friend until it went out of sight. Then you know how there is the part of the lake where everything collects at the end. Well that’s were my Red Lego Boat ended up! Some older kids actually fished it out of the lake and I ran up to them and said “Hey that’s my boat!”

They said (in there bigger kid way) NUH-UH its our boat, but see I was tough, and even tougher when it came to my Lego!

So one kid tucked it away and said “well if its yours, describe it”

And jumped picked up a branch and said: ITS RED AND HAS YELLOW WINDOWS AND HAS 1X2 RED SLOPE PEICES AND RED HOLDERS FOR MY YELLOW ANTTEANAS!!!

They were like, Oh man, sorry kid here’s your Boat.

I was so happy and still held onto the branch. I got my boat back even though it had algae on it and pond scum, it was mine again!

So that’s where that Red Keel came from, and its been waiting 25 years to be used, and I finnally did my boat justice now that I think about it.

I might cross post to .year.1978

   Take care,

Mladen Pejic

btw, did I mention that the keel serves as a weight balance and actually has some function. ;P
