| The Union Canal in Scotland has a pretty interesting lock mechanism for moving boats between two levels, called the Falkirk Wheel. | (...) The wheel is amazing, but canal tunnels have been around for centuries. To get through them you had to un-hitch the (URL) horse> or turn off your steam engine.
