The technic propeller (which I can't find in Partsref unfortunately, but is
used on the tail of the 8412 Wasp) is 9 wide.  You can mount two back to
back on an axle so they are only 1 deep.  Problems with this are that you
can only have 4 blades and they are airscrew shaped, not teardrop shaped
like a marine screw.  But it may be an option since the size is right.
