I wouldn't take this too seriously - the January catalog is usually trimmed
down.  I don't have a copy of it yet, but I'd expect (based on prior years)
that Trains and Technic also have slim offerings.

Hopefully you're right.  I had wondered whether it might be that Belville
just wasn't being given space in this catalog but would show up in the
Spring one.  Just to let you know though, Trains had a full 6 pages and
Technic had 4 (with another 4 for Bionicle).

So long Belville!  I had fun visiting.

I dunno. We'll see.  I was disappointed with the most-recent Belville sets
(the princess tea party things).  But the sets before those - the two waves
of fairy castles, and the vacation theme before that - were very good, and
I'd love to see more of them.

I agree with you about the last few Belville sets.  I didn't bother to
purchase any of those sets.  I was tempted by the Enchanted Garden set
(5834) because it does have some good pieces (trans-blue four-sided roof
peak piece for one) but am put off by the plastic mat and the fact that I
wish the baseplate-like piece was more compatible in coloring with the one
from the Enchanted Palace set.

Guess we'll have to see what happens.  Thanks for trying to instill some
hope Steve.

Looks like the fairy-tale romance has progressed somewhat...
5836 Beautiful Baby Princess
5837 Flora's Bubble Bath
5838 The Wicked Madam Frost
5842 Vanilla's Frosty Sleighride
5843 Queen Rose and little Prince Charming
5850 The Royal Crystal Palace

(...) Pete: Thanks for the info. Some of the names of these sets sound really great to me (5838, 5842, 5850) and raise my expectations that there will be some really keen new parts (or at least colors) included. The names also make it sound like (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.belville)
