Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) Just going to link you to these pictures. I tried to do some moonbase but 48x48 is far too big. Not just to store and transport, but when you pick one up the baseplate bends and separates from the model. (URL) was a 16x16 unit with connecting (...)   Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) I agree that transparent tubes would be cool, but I think you're right about that getting complicated; you don't want to leave behind people that don't have enough of the proper pieces. I think it would be better to establish something simpler (...) (18 years ago, 17-Nov-06, to lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) I'm not sure what you mean, but I'm open to suggestion. I just got some of the Aquaraider sets last weekend. I've got an aquazone layout planned that should be a lot of fun to build- Sea Monkeys included. I saw Joe Meno last weekend and he (...) (18 years ago, 16-Nov-06, to lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) I think Brendan has a point on the green base plates. This is going to need something that would seem like the sea floor: dark grey for deep water and tan for shallow seem appropriate, as well as grey for intermediate depth. For some reason, I (...)   Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) I agree, green is too ingrained in lego psychology as grass. Grey, dark grey, tan, or blue (like aquazone sets) would look better. I would say grey or tan personally, my blue is usually reserved for other displays at the cons I attend. I fully (...) (18 years ago, 12-Nov-06, to lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) Perhaps if enough people get involved with this we could get LEGO to make more of the 32x32 blue baseplates. My 2¢ worth. -- Don (18 years ago, 12-Nov-06, to lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

I have always been an aquazone fan (though I'm currently separated from my bricks). So anything started would get my support at a later date ; ) God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (There are a few aquazone MOCs in there...) (URL) (...)   Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) I like the idea for this, but green plates would look a bit strange for an underwater terrain IMO. Perhaps two (16x32) grey (rock) or tan (sand) baseplates should be used instead? "Big Daddy" Nelson PS: Maybe we'll also see a Sea Monkey (...) (18 years ago, 12-Nov-06, to lugnet.aquazone, FTX)

Re: New Lego Aqua raiders, Sealab 2021

(...) I had thought about taking some of the standards for the underwater pods/labs from set #7775, please refer to the above link, for inspiration for the standards: kindof let that be our guide for some ideas. What do you think? I thought that one (...) (18 years ago, 10-Nov-06, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

(...) You might get a better response in .aquazone, so I'm cross-posting your message there. Sounds like a neat idea! Marc Nelson Jr. (URL) Marc's Creations>> (18 years ago, 10-Nov-06, to lugnet.aquazone, FTX)
