Hi all,

I finally made some free time to take some pix of some MOCs I made over the past
couple of months...

1. The Manta:

(upon moderation) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=30034
(deep links) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/jmenomeno/OgelManta/manta1.jpg
-there are pictures manta1 through manta7.

This is an underwater attack craft for the Ogel's troops, which has torpedoes
and flechette guns as well as countermeasure devices incorporated into the
design. Also, the ship is capable of very short air flight, though modifications
are underway to make the engines capable of both water and air propulsion.

2. Airstreak (goofy name, may neeed to change it):

(upon moderation) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=30032
(deep links)

-there are pictures airstreak1 through airstreak6

This is a one person personal craft, meant for recreation and the 'need for
speed'. The personal distinction about this MOC is that I made this in
candlelight after the ice storm that took out our power.

PLMKWYT!

And to all at LUGNET, Have a Merry Christmas!

Joe, I like the Manta. It made me think of the old cartoon Marine Boy. I could see it zipping through the water and jumping out like a flying fish. Thanks for sharing. Bob (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

In lugnet.announce.moc, Joe Meno writes: <snip> (...) That's very cool! The saucer pieces work well with the canopy, and the little 'intakes' also work well. Very nice shape, and it fits well with the other Alpha Team underwater models. The bits (...) (22 years ago, 24-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Cool beans. The dishes placed to look like intakes is groovy, as is the overall shape of the manta. And the Airstreak looks good, but you need to fix your orange, yikes! (...) (22 years ago, 25-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Hey these are cool, I like these craft very much. Both have very pleasing shapes. You lost power too!?! I also like the tail section of the manta. e (22 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.space)

Joe, Both very nice, but that Manta just totally kicks butt! That design is much better than any of the official subs. Bruce (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)
