Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Marco Tagliaferri
Hello, inspired by a Yu-Gi-Oh card my eight year old son Sandro started to build an armored dragon a few days ago. I'm really proud of what he came up with! (3 URLs) He invented and built this completely on his own. The only help he asked for was (...) (17 years ago, 12-May-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Timothy Gould
(...) --snip-- (...) I think Sandro knows how to build mecha... very impressed! Tim (17 years ago, 12-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Marco Tagliaferri
Hello Tim, Thanks for your reply. You brought a bright smile to a childs face! (...) Well I really try my best in teaching him. BTW, I think you also know about (URL) this> art. We are impressed too! Cheers Sandro and (URL) Marco> (17 years ago, 13-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Timothy Gould
(...) Excellent effort ;) He's obviously a fast learner. (...) Thank you. I've been very lazy about posting stuff to LUGNET lately because I tend to get so few replies but I'm glad you found it. (...) Tim (17 years ago, 16-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Marco Tagliaferri
(...) Hi Tim, I also found it got very calm around here. I remember the days when .mecha was one of the top traffic groups on Lugnet. Don't get me wrong, I'm talking of the times when traffic was produced by MoC replies not flame wars. Well those (...) (17 years ago, 18-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Timothy Gould
(...) Do you have a (URL) flickr> account yet, Marco? Pretty much all the mecha discussion has moved over there now. Even the Mechahub forums were closed to move it to flickr. I think that the richness of the flickr interface really makes discussing (...) (17 years ago, 19-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Fradel D. Gonzales
(...) I too miss the halcyon days of .Mecha. By the time I got into the genre, .Mecha and Lugnet were already winding down. Part of the problem lies with the Provisional Council who failed to deliver on the promises of an upgraded system. I still (...) (16 years ago, 4-Jun-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Bruce S. Chamberlain
(...) Very very nice. Especially the use of the armor element. One suggestion, add a green 1 x 2 tile under the eye on each side so lips are green all the way. Bruce (17 years ago, 12-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Sandro immediately followed your suggestion and was really happy about the (...) (17 years ago, 13-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Eric Sophie
Hello! I think this would make a great LEGO set! Imagine that! Your friend, Eric Sophie (17 years ago, 16-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Marco Tagliaferri
(...) Hello Eric, thank you very much for this compliment! A set developed on a MoC from me ¬ would really be something I'd be proud off. Cheers Sandro (Cheers Marco, the proud dad, who did the translation) (17 years ago, 18-May-08, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Fradel D. Gonzales
(...) I am amazed that an 8 year old did this. Back in '84 I was still treading the Rainbow Warrior side of the pool. Kudos to sharing your passion with your son. The name of the dragon is pretty epic too. (16 years ago, 4-Jun-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Fire Skull - an armored dragon —Marco Tagliaferri
(...) Hello Fradel, thank you for the praise. I had the same feeling, when I saw Fire Skull the first time. But I knew, I hadn't had a hand on it. I followed the building process as I was in the roon building on my own. Was real fun to see my son (...) (16 years ago, 4-Jun-08, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
