    4883 + tyre = American truck —Nathanael Kuipers
   Why doesn't the 4883 Gear Grinders set have 6 big tyres instead of only 5??! I'm a bit disappointed because now I had to use 1 extra tyre to build this American truck: (URL) Once moderated click (URL). I'm not sure if it has the right proportions of (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, FTX) !!

     (...) I don't know if it really matches a Peterbuilt or a Mack but ye-Gods man, I'd say you have one awesome looking truck none the less.      (...) 2 quick off the cuff things I know of... cabover vs conventional, and total bumper to bumper length. Someone European can comment in more detail but IIRC, European loading gauges and length restrictions tend to make shorter trucks more (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

     (...) It also seems that the Euro cab-overs have much taller windshields, that seem to bulge outward from the cab. I guess it gives the driver greater vision immediately in front of the truck for easier/safer manoeuvring in confined spaces. Also it (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build)

   (...) Hi Nathanael, Looks great! There are some clever SNOT elements you've included with it. It's really neat how you used the Wedge 4 x 4 x 2/3 Curved ((URL) see Peeron>) to give contours to the sides instead of having flat "walls" on the sides. I (...)
