  Bluebird P.X.C.

Hi all, Meet the Bluebird Personal Exploratory Craft: (URL) More pics can be found on my website: (URL) Since I usually build castles, it was fun to play around with different building techniques. Here are some pics showing how the SNOT works: (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Nice job Bruce, I really like the rotating the wings, the orientation of the cockpit, as well as the creative SNOT work. Janey "Red Brick" (20 years ago, 28-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Beautiful ship! It has a unique and shape and a great color scheme. I love the great view out the windscreen and the nifty rotating wings. (2 URLs) AndroDan>> Tony Hafner (URL) www.hafhead.com> (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Very nice Bruce! Correct me if I am wrong, but is this your first space creation? I like its retro-futuristic look. It reminds me of that skycar model that has been invented recently - essentially, this thing looks very realistic. Very nice. I like (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Bruce, I love the classic space feel of this model. As has been mentioned, the roatating wing/thrusters are very nifty, and the craft has this near-future look to it, like perhaps we might see this thing in real life. Good work! --Ryan W. (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks, Janey. SNOT is something I don't do enough of, so this was fun. This was actually the first time I've used LDRAW to design a model. I was thinking about this at work and couldn't wait to get home to figure out how the 1x2 with rocket (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Thanks, Tony. You can't go wrong with blue and light gray. I was trying to figure out how to turn a brick 90 degrees in the central portion of this so I could put in the classic space logo, but it just didn't work out. Bruce (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Bluebird P.X.C.

(...) Thanks, Lenny. Actually, my very first minifig MOCs were all space way back in the late 70's. I've actually got a pretty complete collection of all but the largest sets from the first couple of years of classic space (here's hoping for legends (...)   Re: Bluebird P.X.C.

(...) Thanks, Ryan. As noted above, my first LEGO love was Classic Space, so to me Space creations are all about the blue and gray. You can keep your Blacktron, Ice Planet, etc color schemes. Heck, you can even keep the fancy-pants yellow spaceman. (...) (20 years ago, 30-Jul-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
