(...) Wow, those really stink. Luckily, I still have some of my former deals from S@H waiting to be opened, so I can just pretend I got a good deal this week. (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) I've noticed the specials are getting more unspecial. Is this part of the "Fitness Programme"? Or is it, "please buy Star Wars instead"? -Tom McD. when replying, notice the special spamcake. (25 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

Re: US S@H Specials May 24 - May 30, 1999 —Scott Edward Sanburn
Amen, I got some great specials on roadplates (Gray cross-road plates, for 4.25 each!) Too bad I don't have enough space to use all of them. Maybe I need to move to a house with a barn on it! Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 26-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

(...) 4.25 (...) A house with a barn ON IT ?!!?!?!? Ain't that a bid much to ask for, just to get your Lego out? Mark "my house IS a barn" de Kock (25 years ago, 27-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

Re: US S@H Specials May 24 - May 30, 1999 —Scott Edward Sanburn
No, no, just a house with either a small "pole" barn on it, or room to build one. I live in a great condo right now, but the place is split up into three levels, and consequently, my collection spans three floors. My goal one day is to have a place (...)          Re: US S@H Specials May 24 - May 30, 1999 —Gary R. Istok
Scott, any resemblence of my house to a warehouse are purely coincidental. But if you mean my LEGO room, yes, it does look like a warehouse. Partly because I am about 2 years behind in sorting. Gary Istok (...) (25 years ago, 27-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.general)

        Lego Situation[Re: US S@H Specials May 24 - May 30, 1999] —Scott Edward Sanburn
Steve, I am not sure what you mean, I looked up cantilever, the dictionary says it is a noun that a projecting structure, or to expand outward. Do you mean add on the condo? Our contract does not allow that with the Association. Scott Sanburn (...) (25 years ago, 28-May-99, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Lego Situation[Re: US S@H Specials May 24 - May 30, 1999] —John Matthews
Cantilever is sometimes used as a verb. It may not be proper, but that is the way things work with languages. Semantics is the thing! If you are not allowed to add on, perhaps you could use sky hooks to suspend the new LEGO area so that it does not (...) (25 years ago, 28-May-99, to lugnet.general)
