Ed Boxer Goes to Enfiled - reformatted and updated —Ed Jones
I have reformatted my Enfield site(s) into one site with thumbnails. I have also rescanned the photos (better quality and smaller file size). I would appreciate your thougths. www.geocities.com/~e...field.html Thanks (25 years ago, 31-Oct-99, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.publish)

Ed: (...) Nice. It is a good overview of the images (except that I almost missed the right-most quarter :-). I prefer this to the old version, but... It would be VERY practical if it wasn't necessary to arrange images in tables to get the captions (...) (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.publish)

(...) Actually, I could have put the captions directly above or below each thumbnail (see my Cyclone page). It can still be done. (25 years ago, 2-Nov-99, to lugnet.publish)

Ed: (...) You still have a problem when my browser window is exactly 3/4 of your table width (and I don't like the horizontal scroll bar). Play well, Jacob ---...--- -- E-mail: sparre@cats.nbi.dk -- -- Web...: <URL:(URL) -- ---...--- (25 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.publish)

(...) Or if there was a some sort of floating table concept, where mini-tables could be laid out, and the renderer/browser would arrange these atomic mini-tables simliar to the way images are handled. Steve (25 years ago, 1-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Ed Boxer Goes to Enfiled - reformatted and updated —Jacob Sparre Andersen
Steve: (...) There is nothing in the HTML specification that prevents this (AFAIR). It is just like the "BANNER" element - nobody cares to implement it.
