I was inspired to build this combination Moonbase Mech Bay because, I always
liked the idea of a repair facility where you could actually see the building
process of a giant robot in stages. This was my go at it while trying to
do the best with the parts I had on hand. Lot’s of Yellow Brick and some greys.

Now it’s yours if your want it!

Brrr cold action tip JCNJ 20 inches Feb. 2006

Built mostly on a snow day, where here in Jersey City we got 20 inches of snow!
I was caught in the blizzard and stayed at my studio until it was safe to
travel home. cckkk-cold. There’s a shot outside the window.

Hello Eric, I like the basic idea of two Mech Bays showing¬ different states of one Mecha. The red and brown? goes perfect together. Nice details. Might borrow some one day... Thanks for sharing,¬ good luck with the selling. Later Marco (19 years ago, 21-Feb-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Howdy! Been lurking, thought I'd port in and say.....COOL build! Really like the Mecha construction shots, adds to the realism alot, team of engineers running about trying to prep the Mecha for combat! Only thing I'm not sure of is the colour (...) I dunno man - the idea is fun, but the execution is really lackluster. I think there's a lot of potential in the concept of mechbays that you haven't tapped with this giant-box-around-the-robot thing, and that's kind of sad, because I could see this (...) I was wondering if you had any of those light-up bricks from teh Exo-force sets. It would be interesting to see the tubes running along the floor like in Buck Rogers/Battlestar Galactica or connected from service vehicles to the mecha.
