At long last, Chapter 1 of my
LEGO comic, Galactic Requiem, is
finished and uploaded. Seven brand new pages. For those of you who arent
familiar with it, Galactic Requiem is a dystopic science fiction comic
illustrated entirely with LEGO bricks (pluss a little creative use of
Photoshop).
Whereas the Prologue kicked
off the action in the outback, Chapter 1, entitled Forgive them not, for they know what they are doing,
takes us right to the main characters on the most densely populated planet in
known space, Trantor, capital of the
Fifth Galactic Republic.
There, the power-hungry, sometimes petty and partially elected Council scheme
and plot and shape the future of the Galaxy...
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Other news: The comic itself has been converted to JPEG format (used to be PNG),
cutting download times by as much as 80%. Also, the amount and severity of
foul language has been
greatly reduced. It should now truly be acceptable for all.
Now for some bad news: There will be no more major updates to the comic for nigh
upon three months. This summer, Im going to work in another town (Oslo),
putting some 560 km. (350 miles) between myself and my beloved LEGO bricks (and
I cant bring them with me). This doesnt mean I wont be working on the comic,
it just means that I wont be able to take any pictures, and thus not make any
new pages. Ill be churning out the script, most likely. In other words: new
pages in August, when Im back home.
Until then, enjoy the rest of the comic.
