THE NEW YORK CITY LEGO USERS GROUP, or NYCLUG
WHEREAS New York City is the Capital of the World, and
WHEREAS the population of this City number above eight million Souls, and
WHEREAS a good number of these Souls are Lego enthusiasts, and
WHEREAS a good number of the Lego enthusiasts seek out their peers, in whom can
be found the same endearment toward this most Graceful and Timeless of Toy, and
WHEREAS such beneficent comradeship has manifested itself in Lego Users Groups,
or LUGs, around these United States of America and indeed, the World, and
WHEREAS this Great City of New York is currently devoid of such an Association
of Lego enthusiasts that is attached to this City by name, and
WHEREAS such an unimaginable and untolerable Vacuum requires that it be filled,
and
WHEREAS among those eight million Souls are Lego enthusiasts who have wondered
since the initial daylight of their Hobby why such an Association of Lego
enthusiasts exists nowhere within the five Boroughs of this great City,
HEREWITH on this Day, the fifth of January in the Year two thousand four, a
Formal Invitation is extended to said Lego enthusiasts within the Five Boroughs
and outlying Counties, having a shared Border with any of those said five
Boroughs,to enroll in the New York City Lego Users Groups, also to be known
henceforth as NYCLUG, an association whose sole purpose will be to give those
who love this most Magnificent of Toy the chance to commiserate with others of
their ilk.
All Lego enthusiasts are invited to enroll, and Membership of this Association
will be selected in due course, upon the completion of the drafting of a
Constitution to govern this Association. Its members will be expected to uphold
the highest levels of Playing Well and also to advance the goals of NYCLUG and,
as a matter of course, Lego.
