  Re: New LDraw contest?

(...) There is another ongoing contest related to LDraw animation. Who will be the first to set up a system for LDraw animating made really easy? I know at least four different attempts, including my LDA2001. Maybe LD4D is the most promising so far. (...) (21 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.animation)

Animation Festival Organizer/s being sought for BrickFest 2004

Animators, I have enjoyed organizing several animation festivals at several BrickFest conventions, but the time has come for me to pass the torch. (...) stopmotion with renderfilm-directors. My wish is that the stopmotion film-library should be enlarged with rendered stopmotion - no "overtake" by them. As it has been mentioned before me, there are the following advantages: * Special effects (...) (21 years ago, 21-Mar-04, to lugnet.animation)

  Confucious film

Does anyone have a working link for Tim Hui's film about Confucious, submitted for the BrickFilms.com WoW contest a while ago? Cons for stop-motion (the inverse of which all apply to computer animation): Susceptible to camera bumps Susceptible to lighting flickers if you're not extremely careful Without lots of software it can sometimes be a pain to delete that one (...) (...) I don't know if you saw this: (URL) other words, I have a render farm. I would be willing to render stuff for your project. James (21 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

(...) I'm really don't have the time for development but since I have a fairly advanced setup I will offer the use of my computer for rendering. -Orion (21 years ago, 19-Mar-04, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.cad.ray)

  Revolutions?

At the moment nearly all pov-ray animations are cyclic and shorter than 10 secs. My idea: A short sketch/movie (~1.5min) or a music-video may be a revolution and may also wake up more enthusiasts, who start to animate too. Such a project requires 2 (...)
