  Re: Sound Synching

(...) Rand, I think most of us record audio first, then shoot the video. It's much easier to coordinate movements when you know exactly how many frames you have to work with - and just adding duplicate frames here and there later will make it look (...)   Sound Synching

Hello, I am new to stop motion animation ( using legos of course ). How do you know how many frames to shoot for audio? I have software that lets me overlay an audio track with the video. Do I record the audio first, then just calulate the frames (...) (21 years ago, 8-Nov-03, to lugnet.animation)

  Re: Web Host Concept

The problem with this model is that the "organization" has a certain limited amount of space, let's say 100 GB for example. Now, let's say two people join. Do you give them each 50 GB? Then no one else can sign on. Or do you give them 10 GB to use, (...) (21 years ago, 5-Nov-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.animation)

  Re: Web Host Concept

(...) Why equally split? Suppose I have a high traffic site that hosts movies and therefore consumes lots of bandwidth. Why should I get to pay the same as some guy who hosts a few highly compressed gifs and doesn't get a lot of traffic. Very unfair (...)   Re: Web Host Concept

(...) This is pretty similar to the idea of MOCPages, except that MOCPages is free? In general, it's a good idea, and I like it :) Some technical problems I can see, but probably nothing that can't be figured out. (21 years ago, 31-Oct-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.animation)

  Web Host Concept

If this doesn't belong in .general, feel free to just direct it to .publish. As some of you may know, Brinkster.com, which is where I and many other LEGO builders host our websites, has recently announced that it will be adding advertisments to its (...)   NWBrickCon Animation Competition Review

Sorry about the delay. I've had a ton of stuff to do... but here we go! The Animation Competiton ran as follows: first, my personal film made for the convention, The Fellowship of the Snake-Fearing Jedi, was shown to set the mood and give an example (...)   Re: Pneumatic/Motorized Camera Tilt Unit

In lugnet.animation, Jim Kovacs wrote: [snip] (...) Hi Jim, Very cool! Maybe I'll have to dig out my vision cam too,,,, It was fun dreaming up designs, and it was fun talking with Bauchaille, an old friend (and one of the senior statesman on the (...)   Re: Pneumatic/Motorized Camera Tilt Unit

(...) Hey guys, I have been following this post since it started. It inspired me to try to find a use for my vision command cam. I decided not to try to use pnuematics...but rather a simple gear/belt drive system. It gives full pan and tilt...well (...)
