Dude you gotta get a Vision Command Lego Cam Sensor, it does all that and lots more! and for 99 bucks you can't beat it with a stick!, stop animation, video email, bitmap or jpg formats, simple "paint like" editor, vision sensor, RCX motor controll (...) Yep, you need Windows Media Player 7 to view it. If you are still using 95 or the first firet of 98, you might not have it (or if you have a ... blarrrgh... Mac). (...) I looked at this movie a couple of nights ago on brickshelf. VERY GOOD! I love how the lego minifigs take a baseball bat and beat the crap out of the non-lego minifig, then kick the fallen figure over the top of the stairs. :^D I also noticed (...) The Logitech QuickCam comes with an animation demo file that uses LEGO in a few places. The original avi is about 7.5MB, so I chopped it up a little and saved it as a lower quality wmv file (380KB): (URL) Doucette. MISB sets at DoucetteNet LEGO® on (...) I'm sorry I can't help you with the Super-8 question. I THINK this can be done with a video capture card, but I'm not sure how Super-8 works. But if you liked Andy's work, I just finished interviewing him and the article will be on <a (...) (24 years ago, 6-Apr-01, to lugnet.animation)

(...) There are lots of places that will transfer Super-8 films to video. If you have trouble finding one just by poking around the yellow pages, check the 8mm film section on eBay- people often advertise that service there. Yes, it's against eBay's (...) Wow. I just watched Andy Thornbery's "The Thing" and was blown away. That and his "The LEGO Chainsaw Massacre" are just great. I've always been a huge fan of stop-motion animation.
