Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

(...) I'd certainly buy R2D2/C3PO sculptures, but something more "playable" might appeal to a wider audience. Theed palace/throne room or Amidala's starship from Episode 1 would be good options. (...) Minifig scale. (...) Lego teased us with an (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

I will first list standard stuff TLU will likely do anyway so I can take credit for them... :p UCS TIE Fighter UCS A-Wing UCS B-Wing My real suggestion is: A 'not-to-scale' minifig playset of the blockade runner, like the 6211. Figs: 2 or 3 rebel (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors)

(...) Minifig might be a stretch at $150, but you could get an awesome microfig scene for that money. Tim (16 years ago, 25-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

(...) I like the idea of a Vader Bust or a very large Jabba. Or maybe a Hans Solo in carbonite. The Imperial Senate? John P (16 years ago, 25-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

Do not under any circumstances choose a set with Ewoks. The Ewok celebration is the anticlimax of Star Wars. A commemorative set should remind us of all that is good about Star Wars and Lego. How about a scene that has not yet been done, with all (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX) !

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

(...) I think this is a difficult question to answer, as there have been so many great sets and innovations that have come from the star wars line. Personally I have really enjoyed many of the sets but I have not displayed any of them mostly due to (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

(...) I Think we should have an endor bunker set it ended the starwars series of movies and it would be a great way to end 10years of starwars lego. ewoks and rebels in a mini fig size forest scene would be great we all have enough stormies now days (...)   Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

I totally agree with Shaun. Here's what I wrote on Brother's Brick: Death Star Playset: (URL) better. Minifig scale with Luke, Leia, Vader, Obi-Wan, Han, Chewie, Stormies and Droids. I loved playing with that set as a kid. Then again, after the Lego (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

I’d suggest that instead of yet another minifig-based set (which you can do any time you want), go for something that you otherwise might not do. The first thing that springs to mind is a sculpture of Darth Vader and Luke dueling with lightsabers, (...) (16 years ago, 24-Jan-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

Here's my idea: A playset re-creation of the Death Star trench battle from Episode IV. I'd love to see two minifig X-wings (Luke and Wedge), with Vader's Tie Fighter, and a semi-built up trench (read--LOTS of er..new..gray), perhaps with a turret or (...)
