It's a looooong story. By various measures, at various times, it's been
palaeontology (vertebrate evolution), astronomy and stellar evolution,
biochemistry, and (most importantly, because it's what I study now) history. I
can usually find an excuse to read on the others just by dint of my being a
historian. Must be informed, you know, all that. ;)
