  Re: Research Glider

(...) Just built the set last night (got my shipment from S@H with all the Dino sets). The engine does indeed use 1x2x1.3 bricks with curve and plate extension. The hat is a brown kepi. The minifig is also pretty nice, a Timmyish face, but the fig (...) (25 years ago, 11-May-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: All Terrain Trapper (rambling thoughts)

(...) Thanks Jeff. On the picture it sure looks like Rudo. I expect to get a set this week. So check the Adventurers site during the weekend. Christian (...) YB73m (25 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: All Terrain Trapper (rambling thoughts)

(...) Just a note on your description, Christian: the set doesn't include Rudo Villano*. It's got Baron von Barron and two completely new villains (I think Lindsay put up a couple of pictures a few days ago). J * - unless Rudo had cosmetic surgery (...) Sounds great, but - number = ? And how much did it cost (if you don't mind me asking)? TIA, -Shiri (25 years ago, 7-May-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  All Terrain Trapper (rambling thoughts)

Picked this up at The Construction Site - glad I did! This is a pretty cool set, especially with the two new minifigs, although it does seem a bit small when it's all put together. The dinosaurs more than make up for it though! The dinosaur trap is (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

FYI: New Availabilities at US LS@H

Hi everyone, I just got off the phone with S@H and the person there said that 2000 Adventurers sets 5987 (Dino Research Compound) and 5975 (T-Rex Transport) are now available for order! What's more, the long awaited 7190 (Millennium Falcon Jr.) has (...) (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.starwars)

Re: Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!

(...) Ditto here in OKC Shiri. The Big K's, Wal-marts and TRS didn't have any sales at all. -Will (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!

(...) Oooh! You lucky duck, you! Man, I'd give for a few of these... my Kmart isn't clearing out on anything... I even proceeded to miss the BOGO... :-( Where are you located? -Shiri (25 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!

I can't believe it. Kmart is clearing out Lego, right? Well I just scored 5 of 5988 for $20 each!!! I don't yet know what I am going to do with the parts, but it will be fun! Now if the other Kmarts have these at the same deal (or others) I'll (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Set Availability at US S@H

(...) Well, they did, sorta--the tails are interchangeable, and of course the "upper jaws" are as well. The trike looks pretty neat with a dkgrey alligator head--sort of a paeriosaur (sp) or something. And, of course, there's no end to what you can (...)   Re: New Set Availability at US S@H

(...) Sounds like a lame attempt to differentiate the SPUD-dinos in the different sets, to make it more desireable to buy all the sets. Positive spin: TLC's trying to reduce the feeling of "yet another triceratops" among buyers of mass-quantity. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Set Availability at US S@H

(...) It's a looooong story. By various measures, at various times, it's been palaeontology (vertebrate evolution), astronomy and stellar evolution, biochemistry, and (most importantly, because it's what I study now) history. I can usually find an (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Set Availability at US S@H

Re: New Set Availability at US S@H

(...) Raised plates are the most widely accepted theory, which is probably why they went that route. What are John Mcloughlin's reason for believing they laid flat? Jeff (25 years ago, 25-Apr-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Set Availability at US S@H

(...) The "T-rex Transport", the one with the big boat, has the leg colors switched on the trike, and the Reasearch Compound has them switched on the steggy. :) Jeff P.S.
