New Adventurers Subtheme - Rum Runners

Inpired by this post: (URL) I like the gangsters idea, and I think it'd be a fun Adventurer's sub-theme, which I've nicknamed Rum Runners. The theme takes place during the Prohibition era of the United States, pitting the Rum Runners against The (...) (19 years ago, 6-May-06, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town, FTX) !

Re: Luftwaffe Prototype: Focke Wulf Ta-183 Jet Fighter

(...) Robert, that is really nice. What I like most is that it's "rough" from using a few pieces, but was instantly recognizable. Great job. I'm glad you posted the rest of your gallery as well, there's a ton of great stuff in there that I haven't (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-06, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.adventurers)

Luftwaffe Prototype: Focke Wulf Ta-183 Jet Fighter

Well, I usually focus on building actual existing WW2 airplanes. But I was inspired by the Protototype Hunters (hence the posting to the adventurers group) and the wonderfull website luft46.com to do something else. So here it is: A Minifig scale (...)   Re: Roaring 20's

(...) Not yet, but I've been thinking about it. I was actually thinking more along the lines of a gangster sub-theme of the Adventurer's series. Kind of a Johnny Thunder meets Al Capone sort of thing. The closest thing I've done is probably my (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Alternate History Tech: Cardinal

I really like this, what strikes me most is the creative solution to an odd number of dots nose... I also like the sculpting of the whole thing and the engine is particularly well done. Good work. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Visit my (...) (19 years ago, 26-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Cthulego sneak peak: Offspring of Shudde M'ell

(...) Nice little Cthulhu you have there, I hadn't seen that one, I like the use of Dragon arms. One day I'll get around to a full minifig scale (about a metre high I guess) Cthulhu, but not this year! Cheers, Mark. (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Cthulego sneak peak: Offspring of Shudde M'ell

(...) You're right of course Keith the Mythos is far more about knowledge then firepower so I'll tone down the number of non-improvised weapons. For what it's worth the professor and a native guide are just out of shot on this part of the diorama (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Cthulego sneak peak: Offspring of Shudde M'ell

(...) Mark - this is way too cool. I also had missed your Cthulhu rising MOC, these are all really fabulous. Keep up the good work! (I also made a minifig-scale Chtulhu some time back if you haven't seen it before: <link (URL)) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Cthulego sneak peak: Offspring of Shudde M'ell

Oh my. It seems the stars are once again aligned. What those unfortunate adventurers need right now is a rousing verse or two of the good ol' Miskatonic U fight song. Great job man. F (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Cthulego sneak peak: Offspring of Shudde M'ell

(...) Mark, the unspeakable horror is awesome...that's a macabre death-flower to be sure, but the minifigs seem generic. Lovecraft often had an aged professor in the mix, dottering around with any combination of the following: old book, bullseye (...) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Cthulego sneak peak: Offspring of Shudde M'ell

Well it's roughly halfway between Legoworlds, and my Cthulego Rising diorama has attracted a fair amount of interest, (see the last page of this months 'Sci-Fi' magazine for example) so here's a sneak peak at part of this year’s diorama.   Re: Updated Adventurers newsgroup

Hi Nelson The newsgroup looks great! It was in need of a re-vamp. I followed all the links and I really like what you've done with the postage marks for the "destinations". Thanks for taking over the curatorship. It was in a slump for a while after (...) (19 years ago, 15-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Updated Adventurers newsgroup

Hey all! I've completed some updates to the Adventurers newsgroup. Please drop in and let me know if there's anything else that you think should be added. (I was thinking of making a separate page for Steampunk MOCs.) Special thanks to Marc Nelson (...) (19 years ago, 14-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.announce, FTX) !

  Re: Crane Car

(...) Thanks. My main goal for this, other than having a working crane, was to have it fit in nicely with the rest of the train. It's a bit taller than I would have liked, but as my wife pointed out, "It's an old machine. It's supposed to be big." (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Crane Car

(...) The boom hinge is held in place by gravity. The boom itself is on friction pins, so in reality it's held in place by the Hand of God (i.e., if I keep my finger under the boom, it doesn't generally drop anything). I had wanted to put in a worm (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)
