  Re: Jurassicpark Monorail

(...) Looks awesome! Are you planning to add more to it, or is this the finished version? I love the bones that are spread out and the mat that you used to lay it all out on. This has got to be taking up some major space wherever it is... -- Pawel (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Some of the details I love: The tire for a cowling for the biplane. The grey hands representing ammo clips on the guns. The tires for big, fuzzy hats. Thanks a lot, I hope there's a part II. George (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Thanks Greg, I appreciate it. Yeah, the story is really the result of trying to figure out a way to link the biplane and statue together. I *really* had been planning on building some kind of German plane, but then a very nice Ju-52 was (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Thanks for the nice comments, I appreciate it. I got my dk grey hands from the Boba Fett figure, if you can still find them around. Target was selling them cheaply a few weeks ago. And yeah, I guess it it is kind of funny, though the spelling (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind comments. I actually had split the story up to avoid having the 350k of images load on a single page (to have mercy on the dial-up folks), but I'm glad to hear it added to the presentation. Since there seems (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) Thanks, I appreciate it. Yeah, I think Lego really blew it with the potential of Adventurers, but there's stil a lot that can be done with it. I'll definitely add more when I get a chance. Thanks, Gary (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

Hey Gary, I thought your site was great! Super job in creating the statue and the plane. You have did a superb job with color and design. I would like to see more. Makes me miss the adventurers sets all that much more... Keep up the good work! Tom (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) I got some dark grey hands with the stuntman in the LEGO Studios Backdrop set (1351). You might check some other sets in this theme to see if this is common with the stuntman figures. Greg (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) I have to echo Jason's comments. The models were very nice, wonderful use of colors to make things look exotic... GREAT cross theme blending... but the presentation on this one was Amazing! The narrative was pretty exciting. I thought breaking (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) <snip> (...) You did a great job with this. I like the story actually, the use of the letter idea is neat. I want to know what happens now. As for the models, the plane looked good. The temple was great. The statue was nifty. I like how the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

(...) My wife and I loved your site. To me, the story has a comedic tone like the Simpsons, and would be the type of show Homer Simpson would watch on his TV set. It's a serious storyline, but the dialog and slightly whimsical nature of the pictures (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adventurer's ISCC Entry

In lugnet.adventurers, Gary Thomas writes: (snip) (...) I enjoyed your entry, Gary. The story is not bad at all. Your statue of Brahma is awesome. I particularly like the way you did the arms and hands. The other thing I thought was pretty keen was (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Adventurer's ISCC Entry

Hi, I need some witnesses that I submitted my entry into the ISCC before the deadline (I'm in California, so it's 5:30 on 12/31/01). The story is kind of hokey, but I never claimed to be a writer :). URL is: (URL) Anyways, let me know what you (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build.contests)

  Question about Adventurers Minifigs

Can anyone tell me the names of ALL of the minfigs in the current DINO ISLAND series? I have: Dr. Kilroy/Lightning Johnny Thunder Sam Sinister/Baron von Baron????   Strange difference in my 2 'Max Villano' minifigs (Adventurers)

Hi all, (Sorry for cross post - not sure if this is an adventurers or a minifig question) I have a strange question... I was looking through my collection of minifigs last night and noticed a strange difference between the 2 'Max Villano' minifigs I (...)   Contest Reminder

The Adventurers theme is obviously on it's way out, but considering there's *so* much that could've be done with it, I just want remind and encourage everyone to enter an Adventurers-themed entry in the International System Creativity Contest: (URL) (...)   Re: New entry for ISCC: "Missing in Action" - Ju 52 airplane

(...) The Ford Trimotor (perhaps the most important US airplane of the 1920s) used corro as well. Not too surprising, since some say it was a copy of an earlier Fokker. The Ju 52 looks somewhat like it as well. (URL) (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.general)
