Lots of people have said they are gay here on lugnet - doesn't seem to be a big
deal. Of course, I suppose I'm used to my old home town of Long Beach,
California, which had a greater density of gays than San Francisco (or did -
don't keep up on that kinda thing). Gay? Yawn, no big deal. Maybe somewhere
else it isn't such an easy topic.
As to a black or religious group, I have the exact same comments: deal with it
in off-topic if it has nothing to do with Lego, and if it is on-topic, then any
building project is most likely covered under one of the existing forums.
Starting a new discussion group: great, fine, more power to you. I just don't
see the point of it on Lugnet.

I don't see the point of a Black forum on Lugnet, either. What you really need
to do is say exactly why a lego.gay, etc forum is needed. So far, it just seems
to be "I want to hook up with other gays" (I don't mean "hook-up" in any
perjorative fashion). I haven't seen any Lego-specific reason for it.
As to finding out about others being gay, just take notes on this thread. :-)
If everyone wants to show up at a Lego convention with a pink or lavender brick,
that's fine, too. Doesn't seem to need a forum of its own to arrange that
(.events).
