Hi Rene,
Nice improvement for Lugnet ! "Triple-A" accessibility, what a such target !
I like this new style, really refined.
I'll not comment the style itself 'cause I'm not a really good designer, but for
the technical part, some remarks :
- the page is not xhtml valid : there is a <div> and a <p> problem. The 'legend'
element should be used into a 'fieldset' element.
- about accessibility :
* the folding top stories are really disturbing. Someone who has difficulties
with a mouse would be disconcerted.
* all the 'a' elements have to have got a 'title' attribute
* the 'a' element for top stories are too long. Only the title would be
sufficient.
* the lists 'Popular newsgroup' and 'helpful links' are not semanticly correct.
For the first one, you mix titles of groups and subgroups. For the second one,
you mix questions and answers. For each case, two overleaped lists would be
better.
* you can add accesskey attributes which improve the navigation. Some common
values are :
** 0 : accessibility page ( which describe the policy of accessibility)
** 1 : home page
** 2 : jump to the content
** 3 : map site
** 4 : search field
** 5 : FAQ
** 6 : navigation help page
** 7 : contact
** 8 : Terms of use
** 9 : feedback
* Add more "Back to top of page" links (which can be hidden in css). Usually, a
such link should appear every 20 lines.
* What about a print stylesheet ? :)
Thank you for this big work.
