How are you going to be inconvenienced? If, as I suspect, you are going to say
that you are going to be inconvenienced because you use an NNTP reader to read
Lugnet posts, and somehow this is going to make it hard... stop right there.
I have followed Usenet groups on and off since 1991. In all that time, and
across at least three (very different) newsreaders I can think of off the top
of my head (nn, tin, and FreeAgent) I never found it anything more than trivial
to follow a thread when the followup groups went to a newsgroup that I didn't
regularly subscribe to. I reject the idea that following a thread through
different groups in NNTP would be difficult.
You seem to be very knowledgable in manipulating your newsreader. I have a lot
of respect for that! You should be able to work this out for yourself with
little or no inconvenience.
