Ok, cool....Glad it's not something more insidious like a low-level TCP packet
problem or something like that.
However, there is still an issue with xinetd acting flaky...there have been
three or four times today when the nntpd daemon stopped being forked, causing
new connection attempts to fail. I've been restarting xinetd periodically,
and this has cleared the condition, but that's not a real solution...so I'm
still looking for clues.
