(...) I just did a quick tracert to news.lugnet.com and all seemed well. it took about 14 hops with an average time of about 40 ms between jumps. (...) Yes, I am behind a "NAT box" server. I have the same symptoms as you. NNTP will eventually connect. (...) FWIW, I too am having problems connecting to the NNTP server. It does connect, eventually, but takes about a minute or two. My guess is that it's trying to do an auth request to my machine, but my firewall is blocking the request, causing the (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

Since this morning every time I try to go to .trains using the newsreader on Netscape Communicator 4.06 it crashes the application. All the other groups that I am subscribed to work fine(e.g. download articles, thread, display), while this one group (...) (23 years ago, 13-Mar-02, to lugnet.admin.nntp)
