If your client is posting articles, I think you'll find NTTP to be much simpler and cleaner for that. :-) All the HTTP posting mechanism does is opens up a single-use temporary NNTP session from (...)    (...) I'm using the HTTP interface, since there is support for that protocol in the official Java libs. There is no "official" NNTP lib for Java, though there is a 3rd-party lib I will be evaluating when time permits. Then again, a minimalist NNTP (...) (25 years ago, 13-May-00, to lugnet.admin.nntp)
