| (...) This is an unfortunate side effect of the "no edit, only cancel" policy here... but this side effect is, I think, massively drowned out by the positive effects of not being able to revise your words in a way that makes replies inconsistent. (23 years ago, 30-Aug-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

While it's true, he didn't spell out "for sale," the post was soon after a sales announcement in b-s-t, so I think the intent was (...)
