Fredrik's message comes from Norway, where it is mid-morning on the 19th.

Make that early in the morning!  I'm usually not even out of my bed this
early.

I bet the differences in temperature/climate are interesting as well.
In Oslo, we've had a week's period with -10°C so far this year, which is
pretty much the average for Januray.

Right now, temperature has risen to about 0°C, which means that the
roads are extremely slippery.  Imagine a layer of ice all over the road,
with a thin layer of water on top of that.  Walking is much slower on a
sruface like that, if you can even get where you want!  I don't know
about driving, as all my cars are made of LEGO.  (See, this isn't
off-topic at all!  :-)

If the temperature falls a bit again, I imagine I'll go skiing some
more.  Just outside Oslo, theres plenty of snow, but it needs to cool
down a bit before going skiing will be comfortable.  And a new layer of
snow will be nice for the ski tracks.

BTW, Todd, do you read lugnet.off-topic.test?  Would you care to comment
on the article <m3d84ddi4c.fsf@sade.uio.no>?  (I thought the test group
would be appropriate for technical stuff like that, but on second
thoughts, perhaps this group is better suited?  Back where I come from,
test groups are always used to discuss various technical issues, as well
as geeky things.  :-)

Fredrik
