Well, in general, for any NNTP news, it's generally good to use a maximum column width of 79. 80 or higher is bad. 79 is even asking for trouble because people aren't always careful when replying with quoted materials. So it's not a bad idea (...) (24 years ago, 2-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
