There are hundreds of non-broken clients to use.

This wouldn't catch the Eudora bug -- which omits the last message-ID in the
References header -- that's much worse than leaving off the References header
entirely (IMHO) because it's much more misleading.

Right -- only this one case, I think, is cut & dry -- if there's a "Re:" but
no references, it should in theory (haven't checked deeply actual data yet)
be a very good bet that the client is broken.

(25 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
