Ahh, maybe here it is: The regex with LWP::Simple -did- have LWP::Simple
since the beginning of creation but lwp-trivial was just added last week.
I added that when I noticed my own scripts pummeling the server with it
to the avid.cgi script.
The avid.cgi script is special -- it has a published API and its intent is to
be used by robots, and thus it allows any UA to hit it -- even lwp-trivial.

OK, that's a safe'n.
