Just a slight clarification: The 'xxx' portion is a URL fragment. So if you
use any funky-characters like % or ? or space, be sure to %xx-encode them.
(This would be a rare occurrence, but it's just something to be aware of.)
The reason the 'xxx' portion is a URL fragment and not unencoded ASCII text
is on purpose (not a lazy thing) because the <www:xxx yyy> thingamajobbers
are part of something much bigger.
