(...) I fixed the problem -- and I think it affected everyone, not just Free Agent -- I introduced a stoopit bugaboo when I diddled with the cancel mods last week. (...) Aha, gotcha, OK, I'll bet it was the old messages sticking around. No NNTP client expects the NNTP server to reset the article count to 1, which is what happened. --Todd (26 years ago, 29-Sep-98, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) Exactly. I was really wondering why there weren't any new messages on these groups once you started bringing more people in, until I remembered that you probably cleared the groups out. If this is a problem for netscape 3 users, delete the (...) (26 years ago, 1-Oct-98, to lugnet.admin.general)
