I'm trying real hard not to be overly judgemental here, but you sure
do seem to be getting a little pissy about this. Both of these make
you seem like a child trying to get out of trouble by accusing another
child of doing something wrong.
The first, obviously, is a sale. I'm a little puzzled sometimes by
what should go in .shopping or .bst, but one thing that is clear is
that auction stuff does not go there. This isn't an auction - so why
mention it?
As for the second, I jumped down the guy's throat myself already, as
did Larry. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a private e-mail from
Todd.
But really, do you want to be thought of as justifying your own
actions by pointing to others? That seems a little immature, imo.
I think emotions here are running high. I've got no personal beef
with you, other than to reiterate that I don't think "laziness" or
"carelessness" make breaking the rules any better than willful
disregard for them.
I think you'd be better served by stopping all the bickering (with
someone who isn't going to let you win) and just accept that you WERE
careless (whether you want to think of it as poor word-choice or not,
you're a thinking human being who made the decision), stop trying to
justify your carelessness by pointing out that of others, and move on.
Really.
