http://www.lugnet.com/market/buy-sell-trade/?n=4246 (one of my ones)

Sorta close, but not over the line.  It doesn't appear to contain a call • or
solicitation for auction bids (even though it contains the word "auction" • in
the subject line) or any declaration of opening bids or anything of that
nature.

Contrast this with your post earlier today...

   http://www.lugnet.com/market/auction/?n=4407

...which contains a solicitation for auction bids ("watch ebay this • weekend")
as well as a declaration of opening bids ("start at $0.01") and comes out
swinging with "I have over 20 auctions ready to go online . . ." followed • by
a list of sets.

I'm a little troubled by all this. I have explained my actions. There
appears to be little opinion that my post was a "blatant" breaking of the
rules. The post was a pre-auction announcement & a (successful) solicitation
for straight sale before the auction started.... any other interoperation
was not intentional on my  part. Whilst I admit my post could have been a
little clearer to readers, I can still see nothing wrong with my intentions.
Even if the post was a "blatant" pre-auction announcement.... there would be
very little to be gained by me. If crossposting is not desired between these
groups, why not prohibit it.

I'd appreciate it if you could take my protestations at face value and lift
what ever bans you have put in place.

Best wishes

Scott A

(...) Right then. I'll retract the word "blatant." Thanks for providing your other example of a pre-auction solicitation for straight-sale items which wasn't a problem -- it helps show much better what your intentions were. (...) Not 100% sure what line you mean, but I'm inferring that you mean posting auction announcements or updates to groups which don't explicitly welcome their presence (i.e., anything outside of .market.auction).
