D'oh! Yes, as you correctly surmise, I was imprecise with my use of language.
I should have said:
"See what happens when posts are canceled? Confusion ensues!"

As an example of what I mean, I submit the following:
http://www.lugnet.com/starwars/?n=4021&t=f&v=b
The initial post contains: An announcement of unannounced products (rumours of
the sets had been circulating, but with no real proof), A list of unannounced
products posted to a lugnet group, and a pointer to find scans of unannounced
products.
Now, there are no set numbers, and it would be stretching to call the site the
scans were on an "AFOL" site... but I find the scans in question to be even
MORE dunious morally because they were CLEARLY from an internal publication and
not at all meant for cunsumption outside the company.
Yet, nothing was said, other than comments on the sets themselves.
You said before (correctly) that it's not the admin's responsibilty to monitor
every post that comes in, and you're right. I agree with you 200%. I want to
be clear that I am in no way talking only about the way the admins reacted to
Huw's post, but comparing and contrasting the way the LUGNET *community*
reacted.

Well, congrats! :D

Sometime between a year ago and yesterday? Wow, your logs are imprecise. ;D

| (...) Naturally, I have to assume that Brad J. may consider the exact date and/or time of day of his signing up to be information that he would rather not see talked about casually. Of course it's probably no big deal, but you never know. --Todd (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

At least, he tried to, but his newsreader reported a technical problem, so he asked me to cancel it for him, with (...) (25 years ago, 10-Dec-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
