Todd (et al?):
So...I got over-zelious with my cleaning of my mailboxes and
blew away my email/account info for lugnet. So went
a-hunting.
Now I have some comments:
1) It would be nice if all the account info (News, etc) was
easily accessible from one point. The link name "News
Server" off the main page is not obvious, even to me who
knows that LUGNET is, at its core, a giant news server.
2) There is no feature to have my password sent to me for
"Mail Setup". If I re-do setup, will I loose my current
settings? I didn't see this made clear anywhere.
3) Is the news-mail/mail-news gateway your own code? If it
is, wow, but that must be a lot of effort. Have you looked
at something like Mailman ( http://www.list.org/ ) which
does the gatewaying automatically. Of course, since you
have your excellent web-interface, you'd want to turn off
mailman archiving.
I only mention this because I switched to mailman recently
and looking at it's pages (for example, see
http://gerf.org/mailmain/listinfo ) I got a weird sense of
Deja-vu. Prolly the color scheme.
Thanks for the info!
Ciao!
