Dear Todd,
I posted the following message some time ago, but never got any answer. The
problem is that my son and I seem to have to share the same user ID as it
seems Lugnet can only access one cookie at a time. I *hate* posting under
Marcus' name and he refuses to post under mine (!) Is there a solution to
this ? I imagine one solution would be for me to change the cookie each time I
wanted to post a message (to mine), however then I need to know more about the
way Lugnet uses its cookies and where they are stored.

My son and I share PC at home. We both follow the lugnet.robotics group and
post messages there. My son was the first to subscribe and post.
However, when I wanted to post later and made a new set-up I found out that the
robot does not accept two different users on one PC ? So my cookie erased
his...
He just posted a message using my E-mail address. We use different E-mail
addresses. What can we do to both be accepted as members?

| (...) This *can* be solved from your end. If you use Netscape Communicator, you could set up different profiles for you and your son. Then you'd have the ability to use different cookies, bookmarks, colors, etc. But seeing as how you're using MS (...) (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Your best bet would be, as JeremyS suggested, to use Navigator with its multiple profile feature, or to use a real newsreader (like Forte Free Agent or Microplanet Gravity, for example) when accessing (...)
