...which would indicate either a server hiccup or client hiccup. The real
question here is why the duplicate-post detector on the server didnt detect
the duplicate post. I forget what algorithm it uses, but there is a cache
of recent posts it compares any incoming post with.

While I do not have the links handy, I could swear that I have seen a few
duplicate posts over the last few days, Not just Erics.

I just thought of something while posting this, and proved my theory (I should
have done it in .o-t.test but I honestly did not think it would work), it can be
caused by clicking post a second time while waiting for a response from the
server.
Perhaps a screen immediately displayed when post is clicked via the web
interface would prevent this. After all, since things have moved to the new
server the response has been noticably slower when posting.
