Perhaps each thread should be individually expandable/collapsible with this view
option. Sometimes a thread starts out uninteresting to me, but a turn piques my
interest and I start following. I'd hate to miss stuff like that (as I read
exclusively via the web interface) if it displayed all threads as collapsed.
Then again, I could always just leave the option off entirely, and get annoyed
by threads that bore me or irritate me ;-)
