Have you considered forming LUGNET into a non-profit. It might qualify as a
educational organization. This might allow tax deductions and LUGNET might be
able to get grants.

| I checked with a former associate doing business law and she agreed that US regulations on non-profit organizations linked with or being users' groups of a commercial product or service is very tricky.
