Yeah, it's basically the same for us. Though unreleased sets may not be a
priority, they do happen. Like when Brad Justus holds up a box at
BrickFest... I think Jenn Boger had the Retroliner entered in under a
minute. :-)
I'd like LUGNET's set db to be seen primarily as a long-term reliable
record. Sometimes there are changes in a set, just prior to its release.
Behind the scenes, we'll hear of a new set, then ask each other, "How sure
are we about that?" and anything questionable doesn't get entered.
Unfortunately, I broke my own rule last night by entering data from your
site without confirming it elsewhere first. And as you see, 4 of the sets'
data from last night changed today. That's the kind of thing I like to avoid.

ok, fixed here too.

:-) as indeed you do.
I'll admit, I made the above statement as somewhat of a defensive reaction,
wanting to put the original comment into perspective for the layperson, or
someone who didn't search your site to find out what those sets were. I
didn't mean to imply that we don't care about such sets.
Completeness of the LUGNET db within a reasonable amount of time is very
important to us, most obviously for our members sake, as they use it to
update their set lists.

cool. thanks!
BTW, I haven't seen those particular Racer sets in stores. A couple of them
look pretty cool. It's funny, as much as I *hated* the first wave of Racer
sets, the 4585 Nitro Pulverizer is, quite possibly, my fav set I got at
Holiday time. I absolutely adore it!

| Dear all, I would like to thank you all for your reactions. I agree upon the fact that Lugnet has a long term database which is correct. We use lugnet to maintain our database, and do this with lots of pleasure. (...) This shows that Lugnet is an (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-02, to lugnet.admin.database)
