Re: McDonalds 1999 promo sets in set reference ?

(...) I guess it's just weird that the numbers arn't sequential or following some sort of pattern... you know? besides, if they just scavenged for some empty set numbers, that implys they have a list of available numbers somewhere ;) I don't know, (...)   Re: McDonalds 1999 promo sets in set reference ?

(...) One encouraging thing is that most of those 8 numbers don't seem to have collisions with other sets. (But the DUPLO area of the sets DB is still kinda sparse, and that's where many of the low numbers hang out, so there could be collisions (...)   Re: McDonalds 1999 promo sets in set reference ?

(...) Just wondering how we know that's a set number, and not some other random number... normally it's quite apparent... not stealthy... I'm (personally) not 100% sure :/ (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.promo, lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.general)

(...) Ahh, good show! OK, so the last 7 digits then must be the standard LEGO 7-digit product number thingum? (Do the last 7 digits occur as a single unit or are they separated by periods or commas? Just curious; IIRC, LEGO has done it both ways.) (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.promo)

Are there plans to link up the inventories of sets to the set Guide?

I am asking because I have a few sets I wanted to check.. (+some that I could provide inventories for..(mainly 1999/2000 sets though :- ( ) I find it eaiser to search for the set in the set guide's taxonimy than in the inventories one. (The (...)   Re: CSV delimiters

(...) Dang. THAT is a very important piece of info -- thanks! OK... Are there any popular programs out there (on the level of Excel, etc.) which only handle CSV text and don't handle tab-delimited text data? --Todd (24 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.publish)

  Re: CSV delimiters

There exists (in CPAN) a Text-CSV perl module. From its documentation: This module is based upon a working definition of CSV format which may not be the most general. 1 Allowable characters within a CSV field include 0x09 (tab) and the inclusive (...)
